While they were between clients, Trainers Layna and Anna came up with a fun, new way to use battle ropes with your friend (aka: Battle Buddy).
First, collect one battle rope from our big gym area. Grab two slider discs from our stash in the Group Exercise studio. Standing at either end of the rope, one person stands on a disc and squats down while holding the end of the rope. Your friend pulls from the other end, being sure to keep her core engaged with a straight back and firm stance. While being dragged forward, the challenge is to keep your core stable enough so you don’t fall forward or backward.
